How would you describe your personal style?
I have two distinct styles—onstage and offstage. Onstage, my look needs to pop with memorable pieces. I’m quite tall, so having a good silhouette is very important to me. Long jackets and big boots are my go-to, but lately, I’ve been enjoying Vegas-style suits, especially the jackets you guys have. They give me the desired effect and always leave the crowd asking where they can get them.
At home, I like to relax and feel comfortable. Long cardigans and big jumpers with relaxed trousers are my staples—super cozy and amazingly comfortable.
What are your three style essentials that you think every person needs in their wardrobe?
1. An amazing jacket: The best ones can match with lots of looks. Just throw it on, and you’re good to go.
2. Nice boots: They work with any trousers or jeans. I prefer lace-up boots with a zip for convenience—bit of a cheat, lol.
3. A nice black pair of jeans: They’re the standard rock-and-roll uniform. They go with absolutely everything and are so versatile, which is why they stand the test of time.
What do you like most about PHIX?
It gives me the chance to feel like a star even when I’m not up for it. With just a jacket, you can capture that bold, Vegas-style I love so much. It gives you an amazing feeling.
Best gig you’ve ever been to?
Purely because I love both bands, I went to see the Foo Fighters when they were supporting The Police at Dodger Stadium. It was an amazing gig—seeing both legends in one night was unforgettable.
One piece of clothing you can’t live without?
My old leather jacket. I just love it and can’t bring myself to throw it out.
What’s your proudest clothing purchase?
It’s funny, but I bought a full set of lederhosen for Oktoberfest in Germany. I was just proud I had the balls to wear it, lol.
Is there anything you regret wearing? Why?
I wore a lot of clothes inspired by the movie Dune. I love the aesthetic, but on me, it just looked ridiculous. At least I tried, eh, lol.
We’re really inspired by music history at PHIX. What is a song you can listen to on repeat?
“Hurt” by Johnny Cash. I’m just in love with the lyrics and sentiment. Have a listen—it won’t disappoint.
Who has inspired your style the most? / Style icon?
Bob Dylan, probably in his early years. Big hair, leather jacket, cigarette hanging out the side of the mouth, and black Ray-Bans—that was such a classic rock look.
